Petal Group Opens New River Indie Electric Scooter Showroom at RTO Circle, Ahmedabad

Petal Group has inaugurated a new River Indie experience store at RTO Circle, Ahmedabad, its second River showroom in the city after Ambawadi. The store brings test rides, bookings, accessories and after-sales support for “The SUV of Scooters” to riders in western and northern Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad, 23 October 2026 — Petal Group has opened a new River Indie showroom at RTO Circle, Ahmedabad, marking another step in the Group’s steady expansion into electric mobility. Operated under Prive River, Petal Group’s authorised River dealership, the new store is the second River showroom in Ahmedabad after Ambawadi, and brings the River Indie electric scooter to one of the most accessible junctions in the western part of the city.

The showroom was inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of Petal Group leadership, the River team and the newly inducted showroom staff. Marigold garlands, River’s signature blue-and-yellow balloons and a bright red Indie at the entrance set the tone for the morning, as the first visitors walked in for a look at the scooter and the space built around it.

RTO Circle was chosen deliberately. It sits on one of Ahmedabad’s busiest arterial routes, is minutes from the Regional Transport Office, and is easy to reach from Sabarmati, Chandkheda, Motera, Ranip and the SG Highway belt. For a product that most buyers want to see and ride before deciding, being in a location that people already pass every day matters. It also means that the registration formalities a new owner has to complete are, quite literally, around the corner.

The store follows River’s national retail design language and is noticeably different from a conventional two-wheeler showroom. The facade carries the River wordmark in both English and Gujarati, with the Indie’s positioning line, “The SUV of Scooters”, running across the glass front. Inside, the Indie sits on a raised central podium so visitors can walk all the way around it and look at every detail up close.

A rider lounge with yellow seating, wooden tables and a curated wall of riding photographs and books gives customers a place to sit, read and talk through their options without pressure. A dedicated accessories and apparel wall displays helmets, bags, riding gear and River merchandise designed specifically for the Indie, so a customer can leave with everything they need for the first ride.

The River Indie is built for the way people actually use a scooter in an Indian city. It offers 43 litres of under-seat storage, a wide flat floorboard, multiple hooks and mounting points, a tall windscreen and a sturdy stance that handles uneven roads with ease. At the RTO Circle showroom, customers can take a test ride, compare colours and variants, check financing options through Petal Money and complete the booking and registration process in a single visit.

For Petal Group, which began in 2003 with a single automotive dealership and today represents Hyundai, Jeep, Citroën, Suzuki, Yamaha, TVS, River and Baxy across Gujarat, the new store reflects a clear reading of where the market is moving.
